About Sandy

Sandra McKay Stewart (Sandy) is a Montreal-born, retired social worker and teacher. She lives in Ottawa, Canada, and adores Scotland, especially Iona.

In the 1970’s, Sandra’s life-long spiritual questing led her to live (for a few glorious years) in the north of Scotland, as a member of the extraordinary Findhorn Foundation spiritual community. Through Findhorn, Sandy was introduced to the sacred Isle of Iona.

In 2002, while returning to Scotland for the Findhorn Foundation Community’s 40th Birthday celebration, Sandy travelled to the Isle of Iona for a week’s stay at Traigh Bhan with a wonderful group of Findhorn women. It was an unforgettable experience when, during that week, Sandy had an unexpected encounter with the elemental spirit guardian of the ‘Well of Eternal Youth’ at the top of the highest hill on Iona: ‘Dun-I’. The ‘Lady of the Well’ - the ‘Pink Lady’ as Sandy named her, appeared before her as a shimmering light of pink opalescent shells. The Pink Lady showed Sandy where she lived in the rock face beside the Holy Well. She welcomed Sandy to her home.

Ten years later, in 2012, while Sandy was slowly recovering from a near-death experience, a voice said, ‘Go home to Iona’. And so she did. This website is a result of Sandy’s repeated travels to the sacred Isle of Iona, Scotland, after that near-death experience, where she was called to discover and uncover the Divine Feminine roots of Iona.

Iona gifted Sandy with renewed health, vigour, purpose, and peace. She wishes to share some of her experiences with you and inspire you with the glory and spiritual grandeur that is Iona.

The website has four sections. The first two sections are ‘Spirit of Iona and the Divine Feminine’, and ‘Historic Iona’. 

The third section of the site is: ‘Earth Wisdom Teachings: Crystals, Chakras, and Sacred Geometry’. Sandy has a passion for the rock and mineral world of our exquisitely beautiful planet. She was a student of crystals, sound, and light in the 1980’s and l990’s. 

In 2004, Sandy designed and created the ‘Original Crystal Practitioner Certificate Program’, with four levels of certification: Introduction to Clear Quartz Crystals; Chakras and Stones; Crystals and Sacred Geometry; and, Crystal Grids and Ceremonies. She taught this program to massage therapists, Reiki practitioners, reflexologists and others working with subtle, vibrational healing energies for the balancing of mind, body, and spirit. 

There are three, one-hour, YouTube videos of Sandy’s crystal teachings that were offered in 2020 by zoom at the beautiful Garden of Light in Ottawa, Canada. More will be added, with time. Crystals and communication with crystals - Nature’s garden of Crystal Light - is a joyous and enlightening activity. Please join me as a kindred spirit sharing a deep appreciation for the crystals, rocks, pebbles, and stones of our precious Gaia.

The fourth section of the website is called: ‘Living in the Oneness’. Sandy shares the transformational teachings of one of her most influential spiritual teachers, the late Margaret Kean from Virginia, USA. Sandy was taught these teachings directly from Margaret Kean in the late 1990’s, and they are profoundly relevant in this moment.

The ‘Natural Process – Into the Oneness’ is a stress-management tool based on the steps of the dying process that Margaret Kean experienced during her near-death experience. The ‘Natural Process’ is a map of the process. It outlines the particular sequence of the stages of a near-death experience, including passage through the ‘tunnel’, and a ‘life-review’, before entering in greater dimensions of Light, and finally into complete union with the ‘Oneness’.

The ‘Natural Process’ is also a tool of transformation. It is both a system and a process that anyone can use, in a self-directed way. You will find audio files in this section to explain this ‘Natural Process’ in detail, and how you can use it to help transition out of the old and into the new. It is a valuable and efficient tool to help let go of old patterns and thought-forms, allowing a new picture, a new story, and a new direction to emerge. The Natural Process helps us to see a ‘bigger picture’, and to get a glimpse of the great unfolding of the ‘Dance of Divine Order’, and of our place in the Dance.
